Following from the success of LEJOG 2007 where Steve and Keith cycled from bottom up in just 7 days, I (Matt) decided to join them after convincing myself I would not die from exhaustion.
We will be setting off from our homes in York with our support driver, John Barker, on Friday 16th May 2008 aiming to arrive at our B&B in John O'Groats in time for a pint and an early night. Our legs will commence pedaling at approx 09:00 hours on Saturday 17th to start the first of 870 miles south to Lands End.
The Journey will take 7 days and will take in some amazing views along the banks of Loch Ness, the Mountains and Lakes of Cumbria and the Grey slab that is Greater Manchester. To keep up to date with our progress, follow the links to each stage on the right which will be updated each day as we arrive at our destinations. We will hope to be at our hotels each day in the early afternoon so the site may be updated before you get home from work.
